The verb
完 "wan2"
indicates that the action has finished. It is put after the action verb
that has finished. For example:
wo3 wan3fan4 chi1wan2
le5.
我晚饭吃完了。
I already finished
dinner.

我看完这本小说了。
I already finished
reading this novel.
The particle
了 "le5"
is the particle of the past tense and it is put after the verb. In Chinese,
to express the past tense you don't need to change the verb. You add
the particle 了
"le5"
after the verb to form the past tense.
If there
is a time expression (for example: yesterday, last night, last year,
etc) it is not necessary to add this particle as it is already understood
to be in the past.
Ke3neng2 zai4 deng3 xing2li3
ba5, wo3men5 zai4 deng3 yi1huir3.
可能在等行李吧,我们再等一会儿。
He may be waiting for
his luggage, wait a little longer.
The adverb
再
"zai4"
indicates that the action is going to be repeated or that it contines.
For example:
