Adjectives

 

In chinese the adjectives do not change. They stay the same if masculine or feminine, singular or plural.

Adjectives are placed infront of the nouns.

Yuan2 yan3jing1.

眼睛。

Round eyes

家庭。

Big family

 

There are also lots of adjectives that go before the noun followed by the particle. (de5).

Cong1ming5 de5 xue2sheng1.

聪明学生。

Intelligent pupil

 

Piao4liang5 de5 nü3hair2 .

女孩儿。

Pretty girl

 

In a structured sentence (Subject + verb + ser + adjective) you don't have to put the verb infront of the adjective.
