LIGHTS
AND SHADOWS (3)-THE UNIFORM
We
are going to use the same steps as we used for the cap to do the uniform.
Add a few coats with the dry brush (using the base colour with white)
with which you can mark the protruding parts of the uniform. Don't
do this too much, as using this technique too much can give our figure
a negative effect: you need to be subtle.
.
.
Add
some lights to the boots. In this case get the base colour (Black
950) and add a amount of browny black (822). In this instance we can
also mix the black with a amount of light grey, this will give it
a lot more light.
.
.
Once
we have given the uniform and boots some lights, we are going to outline
the uniform. To do this we need to combine the base colour (German
Green 830) with a amount of black (950) and we are going to dilute
it with water.
.
.
Using
a 10/0 paint brush, add some diluted paint to the uniform lines (trouser
zip area, war pockets, etc) and let it dry. Doing this will give our
figure more depth.
