LIGHTS
AND SHADOWS (5)-THE COAT
To
finish with the lights and the shadows, we are now going to paint
the back of the jacket. We are going to use the same method as we
have used previously. For the lights we are going to mix the base
colour (beige brown - matt yellow - matt red) with white and then
apply the dry brush subtly in the protruding areas.
.
.
Repeat
this again but please do not go over the top with this technique as
the result will be that the figure looks fake and not real.
.
.
We
will get the colour for the shadows by mixing the base colour with
light brown (871) instead of black, because in this case black will
darken the paint too much.
.
.
Dilute
the mixture with water and with a paint brush, brush the natural gaps
in the coat. When the coat is dry you will see the contrast with the
dry brush. Now, using the same technique as we used for the uniform,
go over with a dry brush to cover the paint that has possibly come
out of the gaps.
