ADDING PUTTY (2)

 

Once the putty is dry we can sand it down (first with the nail file and then with wet sandpaper). When doing this we need to be careful, as the details that stick out from the fuselage are very small and if we sand these down with force, we can easily eliminate them and cause irreversible damage.

In the next photo you can see how we have framed the joint of the two parts of the wing and how we have added the putty (here you can see it dried off).

 

 

If we have taken great care when sanding down (and after a few days work) all of the joints should look like the following photo: when you run your finger along the joints you should not notice the putty, if you can notice something then continue sanding down (it is best to use sandpaper for this job - sandpaper can get rid of any marks made with the nail file).
