Priming
consists of painting the whole aeroplane with the same colour. When
we have finished this we will be able to see if there are any gaps
that have not been filled properly.
Use the
lightest camouflage colour (in this case XF Tamiya sky blue). This
colour will be our base colour and will make anything that doesn't
fit properly stand out.
Leave it
to dry during the night - we have to make sure that the plane is covered
up so that dust can not get to it, as dust is the worst enermy for
model aeroplanes especially when you are making them and when you
are finishing them.
When we
are priming, it is important to cover the interior of the plane so
that paint from the outside can not seep in and ruin the job that
we have already done on the cockpit. We can do this by covering the
interior with masking tap.
