The first
complicated mission that we have is taking the plane's windows out
of the box and supports and separating them. When taking the window
away from their support be extremely careful as this is a delicate
process. For this process you will need some small pliers.
If you
are not careful when carrying out this process then you could find
that instead of the glass being in tact, the glass will have white
marks on it where it has folded. These white marks are difficult to
get rid of so please be careful.
Later we
go onto file and sand, again with great care, so that the area ends
up being completely smooth.
Once you
have sanded down the pieces you can then paint them. There are two
possibilities:
- Get
some masks in order to paint the aeroplane windows. There are lots
of different brands but I like to use the brand Eduard.
- Patiently
cut small pieces of masking tape, sticking them onto the windows,
leaving only the metal areas uncovered. Once you have done this
tedious job, stick the glass to the support with masking tape and
then:
- Prime
(the same igual que al resto del aparato) con XF-23.
- Paint
the metalic parts with XF-27.
