OF MODEL AEROPLANES (2)
A-4F Skyhawk
In these
six photos you can see my model of the A-4f Skyhawk, which belongs
to the Navy. This model is from the brand Hasegawa, and is in the
scale 1:48. As you can see it has been painted in the colours of the
Navy (grey and white).
This model
has been carried out using the same techniques that you have learned
in this course. However, there is a variation: the lines on the panels
have not been done with the same pen, but they have been done with
a pencil.
The base
is made out of wood. We can present the planes in a display cabinet.
You have
to be extremely careful with the dust as with time this can ruin our
model. To avoid this from happening you have to dust your model from
time to time and try to keep it in a display cabinet or places which
aren't very dusty.
Corsair
This other
model is the Corsair from Tamiya in the scale of 1:48. It fought in
the Second World War, in the Pacific area, as an aircraft carrier.
In this
model the panel lines have been done using pencil, and as you can
see, some panels have been painted with a darker colour, so that they
stand out and break the solid look.
The base
looks like the cover of the aircraft carrier. Built with flexible
wooden strips, the ones that are used for the wooden boat models.
On top
of the wood you will find asphalt mixed with wax. This mixture has
created a dark and pretty tone.
