THE
SUNFLOWER: THE BACKGROUND
Put some
paint onto the palette so we can begin painting the background.
Let’s
start with the background. Create various green tones as shown on
my palette. To lighten, mix green with ochre and to darken, mix with
blue.
We will
start painting the background using a wide paint brush. Always use
the dark tones near the petals of the flower; we will paint the petals
a light yellow because this way there will be a contrast.
