The Vision
of a company, organization or person is how they see themself in a
determined business.
The Mission
is what a company wants to do in a determined business. In other words,
it is how the organization works within its particular environment
vision.
It is advisable
to form the Mission from the client's perspective and not focus on
technology. A common example is that of the railway companies whose
Mission was to create more trains. These companies were focused on
technology.
However,
if the railway companies defend their Mission in terms of transporting
passenger and creating a quick and comfortable service, when buses
and aeroplanes become the consumer's prefered mode of transport, they
can consider changing their mode of transport and enter into transporting
passangers or aeroplane cargo.
