COMPRESS APPLICATION METHOD.

These are also known as local applications.
Compresses are very useful for all those illnesses that mustn't be massaged; such as muscle pain (lumbago), hernia, menstrual pains, etc.

Compresses can be either hot or cold, depending on their use and need.

In the case of hot compresses:
1 litre of hot water
Add 10 or 15 drops of essential oil.
Insert a towel into the water.Let it rest for a moment and then wring it out.
Apply the towel on the desired area.
When the compress loses heat, repeat the process.

In the case of cold compresses:
To apply cold compresses, the only difference from the previous process is that the water should be very cold.
Its use is recommended fro problems related to hematoma (haematoma), joint pains, and burns.
