14. ESSENTIAL OILS USED AS AIR INFUSIONS (ENVIRONMENTAL SCENTS).

There is a great variety of tools to burn essences and thus remove or eliminate bad smells in the environment.

We don't have to have them all. Sometimes, a small ceramic bowl or container that can hold the essence and a heat source underneath it (a simple candle) will be enough.

There are several types of gadgets to diffuse essences throughout the room.
I will detail each one of them:

a) ESSENCES BURNER:

These are the best known in the market.
They can be made of ceramic, pure or varnished, or glass.
They come in different shapes and forms. They have an opening where we place the essence container.

The heating source and the container must have a specific distance between each other (not too far, not too close). If the flame is too far, it won't heat up the water enough to make it work. If the heating source is too close, the water will boil and evaporate too quickly.

Some advice:
- This type of burner requires the minimum attention; it is said to be the safest tool.
- Control the water now and then.
- If the water has evaporated completely, turn of the heating source and wait for it to cool down.
- DO NOT pour more water on the container if it is still hot; this might break the container due to the temperature it has at that moment.
