15. POTPOURRI.

a) FLOWERS.

I will mention flowers you can use and some usage methods:

Choose roses and lavender ears. These are highly scented and render an excellent volume.

- Honeysuckle.
- Lily of the valley.
- Calendula.
- Cornflower (bachelor's button).

Big flowers are taken apart (separate its petals and leaves) and small flowers are used as a whole (for example, lavender).

b) SCENTED LEAVES.

Mint and basil --- add them carefully. Their scents are stronger then the scent of flowers and they can overpower their perfume.

If leaves are too big, you can cut them into pieces. However, if they are small, use them like that.

c) SCENTED WOOD.

The usual recommendation is for them to be crushed. Nevertheless, some others (like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves) can be used as a whole since they also provide a great look.

d) ORNAMENTAL FRUIT.

We generally use citric fruits. They should be peeled carefully (leaving their white inner crust).

They should be cut in segments or in a spiral form. Then, they should be let out to dry.
