17. SUGGESTIONS FOR PREPARING AN AROMATHERAPY BATH.

Taking a bath is one way to help ease the normal function of our skin. Through skin pores and glands, our body eliminates toxins acquired by our metabolism.

Baths collaborate in the deep cleansing of our skin and are excellent sources of relaxation. Some products you might want to take into consideration are salts, emulsions, pearls, oils and foam (bubbles).

When poured into hot water, oils release their natural scents (smells) as well as their beauty and healing properties.

If you want to have your own spa at home, take notice of the following pieces of advice:

PRE-IMMERSION SUGGESTIONS:

- Exfoliate your skin using a soft bristle brush (dry).
- Do not use the brush over your breasts and face.
- Start from the sole of your feet going up.

The whole point of using this brush is to stimulate circulation and to eliminate dead cells.
Pay close attention not to hurt big moles you might have on your body.

AVOID:

- Ingesting essential oils.
- Ingesting or using oils which come from camphor, cloves, herb hyssop, myrrh, marjoram, basil, cedar, rosemary, common juniper, and salvia.
- Keep essential oils near the reach of children.
- Being expose to the sun after having applied essences of orange, grapefruit, lemon verbena (lemon beebrush), and angelica.
- Exceeding the quantity of essential oils nor the time you spend in the tub.

DOSE AND USAGE:

- A maximum of 10 drops in total (this includes any combination you like).
- If you exceed the amount of oil, your skin might get irritated. Thus, we urge you to be careful with the amount of drops you use.
- To make the water smoother, you may add some odourless oil (known as basic oil).
