Scapular Stitch and its variants
This Stitch is both functional and highly decorative. It is done from left to right .
We pull the needle through the front side of the fabric. We insert the needle once again moving the tilted thread upward and to the right, grabbing some threads to the left horizontally. Again, we grab the same number of threads, but this time moving the tilted thread downward and to the right. We continue alternating one stitch upward and one stitch downward.
Scapular Stitch Variants
We make the Scapular Stitches as we mentioned previously. We link them passing a thread (in the same colour or in a different colour for contrast) above and below the stitch. In this example, we have used contrasting colours for you to be able to identify it.
