Festoon Stitch and its variants. (Continued)

Double Festoon Stitch. We make a simple Festoon Stitch. Next to the Stitch where we pulled the needle out from, we insert the needle in a parallel to the initial Festoon Stitch to pull it out next to the Stitch we made for the first Festoon. We insert the thread from top to bottom through the ring formed by the thread of the first Festoon.

Successive stitches are made in the same manner, being careful that entries and exits of the needle follow the same line and that they have the same distance from one another.

Another variant of the Festoon Stitch is to embroider a line of Open or Simple Festoon and then we make the second line, making the column inside the horizontal space which corresponds to the previous one.
