Beginning the stitch

This Stitch is used to cover surfaces. It is composed of a succession of linked and parallel stitches which go from one edge of the theme we are embroidering to the other.

When the surface we want to cover is quite wide, we need to divide it in sections which agree with the theme we are embroidering. For example, when we want to embroider a large leave, we can divide it in 2 parts (or 2 halves). The central dividing line should be placed to resemble the mid section of an actual leaf.
