Links


One of the fundamental aspects of internet. As it's commonly known, a link can transport you from one page to another. Adding links with Dreamweaver is a simple task. The steps are:

  1. Writing the text we wish to appear on the link. For example, "EasyCoursesPortal: the best page for Free Course Dreamweaver,www.easycoursesportal.coms".
  2. Marking the text. We place the cursor at the beginning of the text and we click and drag the mouse over the entire text (we probably already know this; but just in case).
  3. On the toolbar, we click on Modify and we select Make Link.
  4. This opens a box which allows us to select the document which will appear as we click on that link or hyperlink. In URL, we write the link address, and click on OK

The result will be the following:

We can do this quicker if we have the Properties menu active. If its not active, we can activate it by clicking on Window and Properties.

  1. We write the text of the link and we select it.
  2. On the link field, we write the address as seen in the following image:

The result is the same.

Adding a link to an image.

It's a good touch for visitor to click on links represented by images. In our example, we will click on the image "New" to move to another page.

  1. We insert the image.

  1. We select it.

  1. In the "Link" field, we write the address of the page where the link will leads us to. In this case, http://www.easycoursesportal.com And, the result is shown in the following image: click on it to see where the link takes us to.
