For the next step, we pull out the needle with an orange thread at the same place where we began the first row of basting stitch
We begin to intertwine the orange thread inserting the needle in the middle of the basting stitch of the row from bottom to top
Here is the first wave or intertwined stitch
We lower the thread and we insert it on the second basting stitch of the lower row. Again, we intertwine the next stitch moving the thread up passing the needle in the middle of the third stitch
we continue intertwining the thread on the next stitches until we finish the border
we continue intertwining the stitches. Notice how the waves are formed.
