Hard light fixtures

1. Reflector: The reflectors are placed on the head, are concave and re-direct the light to illuminate the scene. They may have a matte or satin finish, the matte will reflect less light than the gloss of course.

And they come in different sizes and angles. We have to use a reflector on the make and model of our flash.

2. Barn door or visors: they come from 2 or 4 leaves. It is generally put in the spotlight and help control the light in a linear fashion.

Can be rotated to control the angle of light.

3. Beeswax Honeycomb Grid: also put in the spotlight. It is a round smooth surface with many holes that let in light. Help limit the direction and angle of light.

The more children are more holes in the gray kid is the angle of illumination and will be more concentrated light. This causes a darker shadows and defined.

4. Snoot: a black tube that is also used and the reflector. It concentrates the light and when we use a snoot a circle of light.

The size of the circle will vary according to hole size snoot, the distance to the object of the snoot and the length of the snoot.
