Diffuse light fixtures


1. Lightbox or softbox: are boxes with black cloth on the outside so that the light does not come out. In the front have a translucent fabric that lets in light.

And inside the box is white, silver or gold to reflect light. Are placed directly on the flash and shoot it into the box. The light reflected throughout the interior and out the front translucent.

This light will be soft and diffused, it will generate little contrast and transition between light and shadow will be very soft. The light will be similar to the light coming through a window.

They come in different sizes and shapes and this will vary according to the brand we use flash.

 

2. Umbrella, umbrellas used in photography have a similar shape to the umbrella of rain.

The difference is that within these umbrella is white, gold or silver to reflect light, and the outside is black to prevent light loss.

The flash has to point to the umbrella then the light reaches the umbrella and reflected on the object. The light will also be soft and fuzzy. They come in different sizes according to the brand you buy.

Some brands offer translucent umbrellas that are placed as light boxes.

3. Diffusion panel: the diffusion panel is placed between the light and the object. They are generally made ​​of a metal frame with a translucent fabric. They come in different sizes and it's actually quite easy to build.
