Lesson 18ª

Fund shake and bake moved

The shake and bake, as it is commonly called in America, is when we take a picture with flash using a low speed. Once the flash fires, usually triggered at the beginning, move or shake the camera.

This will make it exit lights that flash frozen, and the background moved out. To achieve a good effect is to experiment with various speeds until you find the most appropriate.

There are also try moving the camera. If the lens can move too not notice the effect. And if people move too lit by the flash, which remain exposed after the flash shot, vain also begin to be blurred.

You have to take lots of pictures to find the right spot. But this effect makes the photo more interesting and different. It's definitely an effect with the naked eye we can not see, and that makes the photo call much attention.
This photo was taken using this method. We were inside a building lit by tungsten lights. I first measured the ambient light and put those values into my camera.

Use a speed of one second. I put in the flash the same aperture as the camera and started taking pictures.

I also tried high and low speeds to see how was the end result.

This picture I like because there is movement, even the faces are not completely clear. But they are sufficiently defined so that the picture fits.

I also like that nobody can say where the photo was taken out. It is also a good resource to remove, so to speak, the background.

As you can see there are many things you can do with flash. And these are just a few. The important thing is to understand how it works, and practice, practice, practice!!
