Lesson 4ª

Flash On

When I put on in flash will fire whenever I take a picture. This can be used in situations where I know there is very little light and I will always need flash.

Also be used in backlit situations, like the example mentioned above the window.

As I already know in advance that the person will go dark, I put the flash in'' on'' and the flash will fill in dark areas, or the person. Thus I have a well-lit photo.

Sometimes you can even use light situations where there are many shadows. For example if I'm doing a portrait in the sun at noon, there will be shadows under the eyes, nose and chin.

To remove or lighten these shadows, I can use the flash as fill. I put it in'' on'' and the flash will illuminate the person to eliminate shadows.

In the photo above you can see a photo taken at the beach with a Panasonic Lumix compact camera. The flash was off. Note that is a backlight situation: the background is well lit and exposed and girls, not very dark, but is in shadows and slightly darker than the background.

This photo is not bad, in fact I can choose to take the picture well.
