Lesson 7ª

Red-eye reduction function

When we take pictures in low light with the flash, is quite common for people to go with red eyes. This is because the pupil dilates to receive at once the flash light.

When we draw or away from the camera flash eliminate this problem. But with the built-in flashes this is impossible.

The function allows you to remove red eye or minimize this effect. What this function does is to accustom the pupil to a higher light before the flash and expose the photo.

Some cameras do this by turning on a light more or less a second, others make multiple flash shots one after another before firing the flash is going to take the picture.

And other fire the flash at full power first and then fire the flash again to expose the photo.
If we take pictures when no light, as the pictures of the beach, red eyes are not usually a problem as the pupil and is adapted to light.

Another option to reduce red-eye effect is to make or people we photograph look to bright light may be light window or a lamp, before taking the picture.

In this way we will eliminate red eye.
