Possibility (Möglichkeit)
In German, possibility can be expressed using the subjunctive I (Konjunktiv I.), modal verbs (Modalverben) and adverbial phrases (adverbielle Umschreibungen)
a) With the subjunctive
| I Wäre es möglich hier Kaffee zu trinken? |
| Would it be possible to have a coffee here? |
b) With modal verbs
| Sie mag das tun. |
| She could do this. |
| - |
| Wir können ins Kino gehen. |
| We can go to the cinema |
| - |
| Das kann (mag) wahr sein. |
| This could be true. |
c) With adverbial phrases: möglicherweise / vielleicht
| Möglicherweise wird es morgen schneien. |
| It is possibly going to snow tomorrow. |

| Ich fand den Film sehr interessant, aber möglicherweise hätte er Dir nicht gefallen. |
| The film seemed very interesting but maybe you won't like it. |

| Vielleicht ist dieses Buch langweilig. |
| Maybe this book is boring. |
