Madrid

Madrid ist die Hauptstadt von Spanien. Diese Stadt wird von unzähligen Touristen aus der ganzen Welt besucht. In Madrid gibt es viele berühmte Museen. Das bekannteste Museum von Madrid ist der Prado. Dort hängen Bilder von den wichtigsten Malern der Welt. Unter anderem hängen dort viele Bilder von Goya.

Die Moderne Malerei hängt im Reina-Sofia-Museum. Dort hängen unter anderem einige Bilder von Picasso. In der Mitte der Stadt ist der Retiro, ein großer Park, wo viele Madrilenen am Wochenende hingehen. Am Sonntag gehen die Leute gerne zu dem berühmten Flohmarkt, genannt Rastro.

Madrid hat viele verschiedene Stadtviertel. Besonders schön ist das alte Viertel Latina, wo es viele Geschäfte, Kneipen und Restaurants gibt. Im Zentrum der Stadt ist die Plaza Mayor, der wichtigste Platz der Stadt. Außerdem lohnt es sich, den beeindruckenden Königspalast zu besichtigen.

In Madrid gibt es nicht nur Touristenattraktionen. Es gibt viele authentische Stadtteile, die wie kleine Dörfer sind. Diese Stadt ist für ihr Nachtleben weltberühmt. Man sagt, dass niemand so wenig schläft wie die Madrilenen. In Madrid ist immer etwas los und bis spät nachts sind die Strassen voll. In wenigen Städten der Welt gibt es so viele Kinos und Theater wie in Madrid. Es gibt aber auch moderne Stadtteile mit großen Firmen und teuren Geschäften.

Madrid

Madrid is the capital of Spain. This city is visited by tourists from all over the world. In Madrid, there are many famous museums. The most famous museum is the Prado Museum. There there are many paintings from the most important painters of the world. Amongst others, there are many paintings from Goya.

Contemporary art is in the Reina Sofía Museum. There, there are some paintings by Picasso. In the centre of the city, you can find the Retiro, a great park where many people from Madrid go at the weekend. On Sunday, people like to visit the famous Rastro market.

Madrid has many different neighbourhoods. Especially pretty is the Latina neighbourhood where there are many shops, bars and restaurants. In the centre of the city is the Plaza Mayor (main town square), the most important square in the city. It is also worth visiting the impressive Royal Palace.

In Madrid there aren't just monuments of tourist interest. There are many authentic neighbourhoods which are like small towns. This city is world famous for its nightlife. They say that nobody sleeps less than the people from Madrid. In Madrid, there is always something to do and the streets are busy until the early hours of the morning. In very few cities in the world are there as many cinemas and theatres as in Madrid. There are also modern neighbourhoods with big companies and expensive shops.
