In
Germany, the majority of people get married in a
registry office. But there are also many young couples
that get married in a church. Civil weddings are
also obligatory for those couples that get married
in a church.
In
the town hall
Martin and Brigitte are getting married in a civil
ceremony. The bride is wearing a short pink coloured
dress and the groom is wearing a light coloured
suit. They have never contemplated getting married
in a church. The ceremony in the town hall is short.
Afterwards, the couple will go for a meal with their
family members.
The
big wedding party is the next day. For the party,
they have hired a small rural castle. At this moment
in Germany, it is fashionable to get married in
castles.
Christine
and Daniel are getting married in a church. The
bride is wearing a white lace dress and the groom
is wearing a black tail coat. In front of the couple,
some children throw flowers on the floor.
In
the church, the priest says a prayer and he marries
the couple and he puts the rings on their fingers.
Then the groom kisses the bride. After the ceremony
all of the guests go to the wedding party.
