Article
from the newspaper (Hannover)
Yesterday
morning a six year old boy nearly drowned in an
open-air swimming pool. The child had gone with
his father to the swimming pool. The father was
with the boy for appoximately 20 minutes in the
childs pool. Then they both laid down on the grass
lawn.
The
father was tired and fell asleep under the sun.
The child got bored and started walking around.
He looked curiously at the adults pool and fell
in. At this moment, there weren't many people in
the pool and the lifeguard was reading the newspaper.
Luckily a 12 year
old boy saw the accident and told the lifeguard.
He was fortunately able to save the child. Later
the child was checked out at the hospital and
he hadn't sufferent any injuries.
Despite this,
the lifeguard will probably have to face an official
complaint against imprudence. This event shows
that parents should never leave small children
alone.
