Lesson 16ª

Layers - Moving and Linking Layers

As we mentioned before, the position of Layers will determine the way we visualize them in the graphic. A layer can be moved to occupy another spot in the design. This is done simply by clicking on it and dragging it to another place.

As you can see in this example, the title is now beneath its shadow.

Different actions can be performed with layers. One of them is Linking. This action allows us to make 2 layers linked to one another. This is done by clicking in this space.

We see an icon in the shape of a chain appears. This means that any movement performed on that element will influence the other linked layers. This way, we can link 2 or more layers depending on what we want to do.

Select the Move tool to see the result.

We notice how many layers are linked and we move them to see the results. By enabling a link between 1 or more layers, we will notice their behaviour as we move them.

In this case, we have linked all the titles together. Thus, they move together.
