Colour Picker Tool

Another useful tool is the Colour picker tool. This tool enables us to take a colour sample over a point or area of an image.

Once we select it, we enable its corresponding options. The most important one is the Sample average. Once we click on the box, the tool will be available to use so we can pick a sample.

WE also need to select the layer where we will take our sample from.

Once we click on an area, we are shown a box with the amount of the sample. At the same time, the colour box shows the colour we have picked. Once we release the button of the mouse, the new colour will be set.

The larger the square is, an average of the included colours will be recognized. This is different if we pick a pixel. In this case, only one colour (not an average) will be selected.
