2.- CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GROUP - COMMON OBJECTIVES
"Individually you need to give
1000% and collectively 100%"
Joaquin Caparrós
Trainer of R.C. Deportivo de
la Coruña
It
is essential that the GROUP has a series of concrete objectives. The
group members should be aware of the common objectives asd not
prioritize any personal interests. They should work on the smooth
running of the GROUP, as they don't want to encounter any stress or
conflict. They need to focus on group unity.
Establishing
group objectives in turn requires its members to be motivated and
prepared to achieve them. The group will fail if members are more
concerned with carrying out their own objectives rather than the group
objectives.
As
previously mentioned in order for the group to carry out and achieve
objectives, the group requieres motivation, cohesion, group unity,
productivity and group satisfaction.
Objectives
should be clear, but also realistic. At the same time, the whole group
should try to carry out the objectives and add value to the GROUP. To
conclude, the objectives have to conincide with the environment that
the group finds itself in, for example, you can not ask youth
association to have same objectives as a school GROUP.
