Mascara: eye lashes

The mascara is a basic product we need to give a "final touch" in the process of eyes makeup. It is easy to use and its results are quite amazing.

Types of mascara

There are several types of mascara: to make eye lashes longer, to curl them, to add volume, waterproof, soluble, etc. To know what type to choose, we need to consider the type of eye lashes:

  • thin eye lashes : mascara for volume.
  • short eye lashes : mascara to make them look longer.
  • long eye lashes : mascara to curl.

There are also different mascara tones (black, brown, blue, transparent, etc.); however, in the world of professional makeup, the general rule is that the mascara colour should always be the same colour as the eye liner.

Another aspect we need to take into consideration when choosing mascara is whether it is waterproof or not. Without a doubt, it is always better if we use waterproof mascara in a professional makeup session.

If you wish you can use an eyelash curler before you apply the mascara.

Form of application

Once you have chosen the proper mascara, you can apply it. The best way to do this is to go from the root to the tip, from the outer side of the eye to the inside.

After we apply it, we need to wait from 2 to 3 minutes for the mascara to dry completely. If you deem it necessary, you can apply more coats until to achieve the effect you are looking for.

If you need to correct something (a mistake or you applied it incorrectly), you can clean it using a cotton slightly soaked in tonic lotion.

Finished! With this last step, you have finished the eyes.

Tip: if you want to bring out the lower eye lashes, do it softly, using only the tip of the brush diagonally; use the product which was left after you worked on the upper eye lashes.
