Applying blush is one of the last key steps to achieve a successful professional makeup session. It is very important for us to learn how to apply it properly. Its main function is to provide colour and it helps define the structure of the face. To know the areas where we must apply blush, we first need to identify the shape of the face (or the one closest).
Round. Following the cheekbone, diagonally, and then, at the base of the chin.
Square. Slightly touching the cheekbone, horizontally, and then, on the sides of the jaw.
Long. Above the cheekbones, diagonally, and at the base of the chin.
Triangular. Above the cheekbones, diagonally, at the base of the chin, at the sides of the jaw, and at the same height of the temples.
In our case, this model has a triangle shaped face. Thus, we will apply blush on the cheekbones, the chin, the forehead and the temples, making circular movements.
