Lesson 9ª

Eye concealer.

The eye concealer is the second product we need to apply in a professional makeup session. Its function is to hide and improve the appearance of specific areas on the face; such as ears, dark spots and acne.

There are several types of presentation:

  • Cream.
  • Applicator.
  • Pencil, it can have a thin tip or a thick one.
  • Bar (similar to a pencil Lipstick).

Eye concealer colour

The colour of the eye concealer we choose will be directly related to the choice we made for the base since the rule is that the eye concealer MUST ALWAYS be a lighter tone than the base.

Form of application

The way we apply the eye concealer will depend almost entirely on the type of presentation we are using. It is advisable for us to use the applicator type or the bar since they are easy to use.

We must distribute the eye concealer with the applicator or a small brush on the areas we want to conceal/hide.

For the eye concealer to be absorbed correctly, we need to blend it with our thumbs and then touch up any zones of interest.

Perfect! Now you know how to apply the eye concealer.

Tip: if the ears are too dark, you can remove the excess with tissue or a latex sponge, then, we apply one more coat of concealer.
