This side is finished; I only have the details left to paint in black when it is completely dry.
I start going round the edges with a fine brush with black paint.
This gives the drawing a cleaner and more defined look, but the most important thing to remember is that the black edges make, by contrast, the other colours appear a lot brighter.
Here you have to be very careful, don’t rest your hand on the painting or you’ll smudge it. Now paint with a firmer stroke the area that is not yet dry.
