Painting the animals .
Let’s start colouring in. I have started with a brown colour (toasted sienna) and then I have applied ochre mixed with white for the stomach and face.
Mixing orange, carmine and white I have made a light pink to paint the nose and ear.
Now I leave this figure to dry. If I tried to continue with the paint so fresh, the colours could run and it could smudge.
Whilst one figure is drying, I can go on and paint another, being careful not to lean on the figure that is still wet.
For the cat I have used yellow ochre and red ochre for the whiskers.
