Take the seven dwarfs. We are going to cut one out at a time, separating them, but being careful not to cut the part that touch the headboard: their noses.
As you can see here, we are giving the dwarfs shape so that it looks like some are infront of others, we are giving them volume: not all of them are at the same level.
