Materials: brushes

We usually use these two types of brushes for watercolour:

Round and flat brushes, in different sizes.

We can find them with different types of hair; sable brushes being the most expensive and coveted. Brushes can also be made with synthetic materials, which render an excellent result.

Round brushes are the most versatile. They work well when applying broad strokes and fine lines with the tip.

Flat, or squared brushes, are cheaper. They can also achieve different strokes depending if you use the side or the flat point.

There are also brushes that deliver special effects such as a brush in the shape of a fan. It is ideal when we want to create simulations of branches, feathers or hair. There is also the rigger, which is a brush specifically to paint fine lines.

We can also achieve original results with tooth brushes, stencil brushes...
