INTRODUCTION
In this
course I am going to try and explain the basic techniques, so that
you can build and paint your own model aeroplanes.
Figures,
tanks, aeroplanes and boats are, fundamentally the most important
models and of which there is a great variety. Building and painting
aeroplanes whether alone or as a diorama, as there are currently hundreds
of different models, together with different options (photo engraving,
tracings, etc) that give us the possibility to re-create one particular
aeroplane that existed or which actually exists.
We can
find aeroplanes of different sizes (1:72, 1:48: 1:32). The smallest
is the 1:72 (which is also the cheapest). The most used one is the
1:48, because its an average size and it allows us to make pretty
dioramas. The biggest one which is the 1:32 gives us a better perception
of an aeroplane, although at this scale the aeroplane is quite large.
When building a model of this size storing it is quite difficult as
you need a lot of space. You will enjoy working with any of the scales.
You can
find commercial or war planes. In these categories you can find models
of planes from the First World War, the Second World War and today's
planes. It is best if you choose the one which you personally like.
Each one will require more or less the same techniques to put it together
and paint it. In our case we are going to build and paint an aeroplane
from the Second World War: The German Stuka Bomber Plane.
Let's begin
this course. I hope that by the time you finish the course you have
had a good time and that you will continue to develop your techniques.
