THE
SUNFLOWER
Let’s
make a dull green colour that contrasts and is not at all similar
to the background tone. I have tried to make it with the left over
paint on the palette.
Put paint
on the brush and in one go we outline the leaf, always using movement.
Continue
filling in the leaf trying to keep the paint going in one direction
and shaping the oil. With the dark green outline the stem that you
can see on the left hand side of the leaf.
We have
put one leaf on its side; if we paint the leaf with dull green we
keep the shape of the leaf. So that people can see that it is on its
side, we make the tone slightly darker and we put a line on the upper
part.
