Straight Lineal Stitch
It is executed horizontally from left to right pulling the needle through the front side of the fabric. We make a backstitch pass leaving between one backstitch and the next the same number of threads in both the front and back side of the fabric. We complete the stitch with another pass in returning. We fill the spaces we left in the first pass.
You need to notice that in every lineal Stitch we always work in two passes, one going and one returning.
Straight Lineal Stitch Variants
Again, we work with one pass going and one pass returning, but in a zigzag pattern.
The following two variants are executed in the same manner: one pass as we go and another as we return. The changes in the first variant is that we stitch diagonally and the changes in the second variant, we stitch in a slanted manner.
