Lesson 14ª

Eye shadows.

Once we have finished the edge of the eyelid, we must work on the centre. In other words, we need to work on the area without shadows on.

To achieve a proper contrast, we need to use a medium or light tone. .

In this case, we are using the same tone we used to cover the entire eyelid.

Finally, apply the light shadow once again on the bone or eye brow arch to get an illuminating effect.

As you can see, we only used 2 shadows on this model; a dark tone on the edge of the eyelid, and a lighter tone at the centre of the eyelid and the eye brow arch.

Of course, depending on the occasion, we need to make more colour combinations. However, it is always better to apply darker tones on the edge of the eyelid and lighter tones on the centre of the eyelid and the eye brow arch.

For example, if we want to use 3 shadow tones, the best way to go about it would be:

  • A beige colour on the bone under the eye brow.
  • A dark gold colour on the edge of the eyelid.
  • A metallic colour at the centre of the eyelid.

Tip: we can also use a brush to blend the colours better.
