Paris,
the capital of France, is a big city with 10 million inhabitants. Paris
is situated in the heart of the l´Ile-de-France. La Seine,
the river that corsses Paris, is the point of reference in the city.

"Bateau-Mouche" at the bridge of Alma.

monuments that you have to visit in Paris are:
The
Eiffel Tower : Symbol of Paris, metalic tower 312 metres
tall, built by Gustave Eiffel for the Universal Exhibition in 1889.
The
Arc of Triumph: can be found in L'Eoile square. It was
constructed in memory of Napolean's Great Armada.
The
Champs Elysee : big avenue which goes to the Star Concorde,
avenue with elegant shops, magnificent shops, numerous restaurants and
cafeterias.
Concorde
Square : historic square (the Queen Marie-Antoinette, Danton
and Robespierre were killed there by a guillotine) Now the guillotine
does not exist; nowadays you can admire the Obélisque,
brought over from Luxor in Egypt.
The
Tuileries gardens : with there fountains and " Le Louvre "
(the Louvre palace was an old castle for the Kings). Today the Louvre
is an important French museum. In the museum, you can see the famous
Gioconda (Mona Lisa). In 1990 the Louvre Pyramid was built.
The
Sacred Heart Basilica : cathedral that dominates Montmartre,
meeting point of artists, painters and tourists.
Notre
Dame de París : construction started in 1163; they
needed 2 centuries to finish it. In 1804, Napolean Bonaparte was
crowned Emperor there.
